So, Let's Palmdale! So in addition to planning my wedding, getting my house ready for mom's stay over the Shower weekend....I am in between two important (to me) live music events and Boston's Restaurant week (which is two weeks long I noticed). Whilst going through my calendar- both online and in hand- always need backup now a-days- I realized I need backup for my back up.  I am due to go to a restaurant with my Fiance and one of my Besties next Friday- and oh yeah- MOM is in town that weekend.  How did I over look THAT ONE??  Apparently I need a social secretary for the upcoming weeks....Mind you- Mom and I (with another Bestie and her  2 yr old daughter, my niece) are off the Dress Maker (Maggie Flood in Sudbury) that very day of Meritage with my MOM and Fiance and Bestie. Mind you its more than a week away- but soooo much is happening!!   So, MUSIC... I met Kay Hanley and Linus Dotson (Palmdale combined) yesterday-thanks to my AMAZING friend Alyson.  WOW- I am still amazed.... they are so down to earth and hysterical.  Kay is really sweet and Linus is a comedian in his own mind...well OK, a few corny jokes got some laughs- but they have amazing performance chemistry.  Tonight is their REAL Boston Debut at TT The Bear's Place and I can't wait!  Let's Palmdale! Off to Cambridge again tomorrow night to Bambara at the Hotel Marlowe with above mentioned Bestie/Foodee and said Fiance to round 1 of Boston Restaurant Week.  I will be terribly tired by dinner, but, CAN NOT WAIT to try Bambara.  Their menu looks faboooo!!! Apparently I am having sleeping/breathing issues (thank you Mr Attacker last November) so I have to have a sleep study this Thursday night, in Cambridge....did I mention I don't live in Somerville anymore?!  The results may end up in surgery- tonsillectomy-should be a nice way to drop some pounds before the wedding though!!! Friday night brings Hampton Beach to stay at my future mother in laws for the weekend with Fiance and our dogs in tow.  HOPING that the weather holds out and I can sit out for once when I visit!!! Looking at said calendar after this weekend- well and after my Bridal Shower on the 28th, and my mom being in town, its a 'hurry up and wait' situation til the Bachelorette Party (again- Foodee Bestie in charge of THAT- should be a hoot!) then its the Wedding Oct 16th and off to Vegas for a NEEDED vacation. Radio Boston Audio Tweets A Reality Saturday, July 24, 2010 84 days til the wedding!! So its 84  days til the big day of Oct 16 2010!!  My wedding day to Dave!  Time Flies! Flies so fast, in fact, that I have NO IDEA what to do for a dress.  My mother is being extremely generous and letting me design my own dress.  Could be catastrphe, could be overkill, but lets face it...I am Five foot NOTHING, a little over weight and I am not a 'sample dress' size.  I love Chanel, Vera Wang, and unknowns.  So many decisions to make, so little time.  My mother and I are going to the dressmaker (Maggie Flood in Sudbury MA) the day before my bridal shower in August.  Am I nervous, hell yeah.  But I am comfortable with who I am and what I will wear.  Ivory is a flattering colour and Maggie has been in business for years...I am confident that whatever design is on my bod, I will love it. Today, David and I are off to book the Florist (Drinkwater Flowers in Hampton NH) and then off to two local Bakers (one in York Me and the other in Hampton NH).  I can't wait!!  At least I know the designs of the flowers and cake!!   Next Saturday, I am bringing Dave's niece shopping for dresses in Portsmouth NH. THAT is going to be fun- like dressing a cute little blonde Barbie doll who is nearly 5 yrs old. On a side note, I have never, ever been happier in my life.  The only thing 'missing' is a couple of kids of our own, but, there is no rush there and we are going to be thrilled when it happens.  So, thats a little bit of whats going on.  I have to get into blogging a little more.  Facebook and Twitter are great means to share things, but I love to elaborate and give my opinions (reallly?!?!?  me?!?!).
